The "Other" African American: Cuba

Hosted by Dr. Thomas Wayne Edison, the Department of Classical and Modern Languages, and The Office of Hispanic, Latinx & Indigenous Initiatives

The Department of Classical and Modern Languages at the University of  Louisville is sharing a unique approach to recognizing Black History Month by celebrating African heritage beyond the borders of the United States.  

This Pan African celebration will be facilitated by Dr. Thomas Wayne Edison and will feature music, dance, poetry, and visual arts built around Cuba's Rich African cultural heritage.  Lunch will be provided. The special guest will be Dr. Juanamaría Cordones Cook.
